Borgarbyggð, Iceland is a small village to the west of Reykjavik, Iceland. The journey to get there was so beautiful. You pass by huge mountains, tunnels and lakes. Then we found this beautiful fat cat who seemed to be enjoying the sub-zero temperatures. Highly recommend if you like nature.

"Michelle was lovely and the house is very fun with all the art. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was adequate. For us it wasn't five stars because none of the bedrooms had any side tables for the beds, there were also no side or coffee tables in the living room, the wind woke us up a couple nights and it wasnt even a storm or anything , that's the usual (obviously not anything Michelle can do about that), and the sulphur smelling hot water was really pungent (again, not the owner's...

"The staff was very welcoming and jumped right on a problem we had when the shower flooded. They even gave us a wake up call to catch a glimpse of the northern lights. The food was beyond our expectations. We don’t normally stay at hotels associated to golf courses so honestly didn’t expect much but this place is well worth the stop over for the view, food and nice, really nice people. We look forward to going back and trying out one of the cabins."
