"We rode the Great Victorian Rail Trail. The cottage was fantastic, as was the outdoor seating area. There was plenty of room to put our 4 bikes under cover outside, adjacent to an outdoor power point for re-charging the batteries. The cottage was roomy, with a very effective air conditioner and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We kept cool in the 36 degree heat!"

"Excellent location with outstanding views and environment. Accommodation is excellent for what it offers, eg. quiet, private, comfortable. Would recommend at least a couple of nights stay. Come prepared for self catering as the town of Mansfield is at times very busy. It’s not 5 star, the cabin was clean and adequate in its offerings."

"A wonderful long weekend in the high country. Loved the accommodation and a minute walk to the general store and local hotel for a meal. Highly recommend "

"The cottage was very well kept and really comfortable! The owners were very welcoming and great at communicating. One thing to note is that the mobile coverage in the area isn't great, and to access any nearby sights you have to drive. Overall we found the stay really comfortable and the hosts were lovely!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. Ed and Vickie were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Perfect for family staycation during winter while staying cozy in the fireplace. Great for kids as they have farm and lots of animals to see. "Hosts were amazing. Freshly baked bread on arrival. Eggs, milk, homemade biscuits jam, marmalade, lemon butter & butter. Selection of fruit in fridge. Sunday morning Maggie the hostess with the mostest brought me fresh baked raspberry & coconut muffins. Very relaxing place. Thank you Maggie I will be back Kiri xx M"

"Great place to visit. We definitely could have stayed a few more days. Plenty of dog friendly activities. It would be a great place to stay at other times of the year as well We very much enjoyed Maggie’s baked treats and the Strawbale cottage holiday vibe. A bit warm because of a couple of very hot days so another fan or aircon would be great."

"Plough Cottage was well equipped and there were plenty of warm blankets/doonas and electric blankets for the beds. The bunk bed room was large and big enough for four to share. The host was easy to communicate with and had really thought of everything you would need to have a pleasant stay. It was a short walk to the lake and a picturesque drive to and from Mansfield. The afternoon sun was lovely on the porch and overall it was a really relaxing time. Our Vodafone mobile service did not...

"This place is incredible. All you hear is birds and cows. Close enough to Mansfield if you've forgotten something. I was amazed by the view everytime I stepped outsider. The house itself is actually much bigger than I thought it was going to be, has absolutely everything you could need. Will be recommending it to anyone. Was an absolute pleasure to stay here!"

"Stayed at Jenny’s place for a 50th nearby. Jenny was very responsive and went to extra trouble to make sure our stay was comfortable even with a town power outage. Accommodation is clean and comfortable with great views."

"Big and spacious cottage, very close to Goughs Bay. The home made cookies, bread and other things for breakfast were a winner. Lots of birds and beautiful and quiet location. The beds were very comfortable."
