"Staff on arrival were professional and easy friendly - that’s rare these days. They appeared to be just a better quality than often found in budget hotels. They looked you in the eye and seemed to actually enjoy their job! I felt immediately happy to be there. They intentionally described all that was available during our stay and nothing was a bother. The room was spotless clean. It’s a new hotel so that helped. Placed in a business park means it’s peaceful and quiet. Right by the tram and shopping. You should describe that in your location on the hotel description! It’s a real selling point and you’re not promoting the tram, just a few stops to Edinburgh, the shops or the peace and you should! You should also promote the dining area- I wish we had known there was a microwave to use freely and the tea and coffee on tap 24 hrs - you need to promote these in the hotel description more evidently! It was so good to have these things! Loved the little attention to detail like picnic tables at the front and the jogging route map on the wall and the drinks fridge 24/7 and an umbrella loan stand. These are the things that make a hotel a home from home that cares! Overall you should be chuffed with yourselves- don’t let the corporate or aging with time let you loose this edge you have! Keep it fresh, keep being generous with facilities - you’re a breath of fresh air in a tired hotel world! "

"This hotel is the best stay I have ever had in Edinburgh, the staff are courteous and welcoming. The city view room was well appointed and and had the softest bed, very happy. The room mini bar had a good selection of essentials including milk for tea and coffee, as well as good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks! The attention to detail in the room even went down to branded socks snd slippers both sides of the bed. The Market Street Hotel is just a roads width from Waverley Railway Station so easy to get anywhere involving rail travel and the trams are a short walk away in Princes Street, but because of the standard of glazing you would never know! Looking forward staying again, thank you for great service and a great time."

"All round a good hotel and good stay. Would stay again. Slightly outside the main city centre but a short walk to the city and good transport links. Near Haymarket station so can get the tram from the airport if you prefer to a taxi. Lots of places to eat nearby and a bit quieter than the city centre. Wi-Fi was good and room decent enough. Bed was comfy and sofa bed for my daughter was good to accommodate 3 of us. Minor, minor down points. Some confusion at checkin about when to pay for a late checkout. Was remedied the next day and got a late checkout of 2pm for £35. Only other suggestion would be to enable the Wi-Fi on the room tvs to allow streaming services rather than just terrestrial and free channels. Not a big thing but would enhance the stay. Restaurant was better than expected although more expensive than local restaurants, so only ate at the hotel once, but food quality was good. All the staff were nice and very helpful. All round good and would happily stay again. 8 or 9 out of 10"

"Enjoyed our visit a great deal. Only concern was safety of bath/shower. Elevated shower floor and rounded floor to sidewall is going to hurt someone someday. Good you provided bath mat and handle on wall."
