"We chose this hotel because it is very close to La Spezia's main railway station and hence very convenient for visiting Cinque Terre, Levanto and other locations. We had a suite, which was pleasant and roomy. Staff were all helpful and nice. The buffet breakfast comprised many items but service was rather patchy, mainly because of insufficient staff on duty. "This is a great location in La Spezia with very good access to the train station to go to Cinque Terre. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had what we needed. Breakfast was European continental and was at a nice little cafe right across the street. We really enjoyed our stay."

"This was one of our favorite stays on our trip. Nothing beats the view of the ocean and watching the clouds roll in with the church bell chiming in the background. Continental breakfast was great for the price of free. The only thing worth advising is that there are A LOT of steps to get up to the hotel, and with baggage it is not a task to be taken lightly. There is a second elevator in the town that would have solved this problem, but it is still closed for renovation. We managed though, and...

"The location of this hotel is very convenient to the train station, restaurants and some shopping. The instructions to check in were very easy to understand and follow. The main doors into the building were amazing. When we walked through the courtyard, it felt a little sketchy… kind of worn down and in disrepair. However when we got to the block of rooms run by Cinque Terra Gateway, it was very nicely remodeled and extremely clean. Overall, it was a great stay."
