"There is no “front desk” just the property manager and they do not answer any calls from you or hotels.com. I had to call them constantly for twenty minutes just to get into the house because they didn’t send any email with information on how to do that. There was no hot water for showers and the bathroom upstairs leaked into the bottom room which my group stayed in. We have been requesting a refund for a second night stay because we left and they won’t answer the phone from anyone. There was a room that smelled like ashtray if that’s your thing. Very unprofessional and also there is a hidden deposit that has to be paid from a third party separate of initial booking. "

"Tired and old but functional rooms. Did have a mouldy smell and the heating isn’t customer led so we had no heat in the room. Bed was comfortable plenty of towels and bedding. Curtains were dirty and need replacing. Bathroom had a shower curtain which did look used. Pool and spa facilities were ok but again very dated and needs a good scrub. Bar area lovely as were the staff. Breakfast other than needing to keep asking for the food and plates to be replenished was excellent. "

"We chose this “chic apartment” over a terraced cottage that was 50% cheaper as we thought it was Christmas and we deserved a bit of luxury. We arrived after an 8 hour drive to a terraced house in a poor area. All the bedding and towels were of the poorest quality I had ever seen. The beds were full of hair, pubic and otherwise. The shower tray was filthy with added pubic hair. There were rubbish bags in kitchen cupboards. No kitchen equipment, no potato peeler, corkscrew, utensils, oven trays, grill pan handle. The microwave was unusable as it had exposed rusty metal inside which rendered it dangerous. No hanging facilities, not even a hook on the back of the bedroom doors. No drawers just some shelves in the front bedroom. The bedside light was useless as no socket to plug it into. Too large TV had no live channels just streaming service, so we couldn’t watch Xmas programmes we were looking forward to. Random belt left by previous occupant in bedroom. Strange Tupperware bowl on toilet top. And many, many more problems. After complaining and sleeping elsewhere that night, we were telephoned by the owner apologising for the house with the excuse that he had been travelling. He said that they would have “another deep clean” and bring a hanging rail and would we go and inspect the following afternoon, we agreed. I am running out of space as only 1500 characters so just going to say that it was worse when we went back. VRBO refusing to give us our money back. Stay away!"
