"I love the character of old hotels and this one did not disappoint. Pros: we had hot water for showers, plenty of towels, a comfortable bed, two onsite restaurants to choose from, and two complimentary bottles of water in our room. We called for room service one night; they were friendly and fast. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were more than generous. I ordered the hummus and the tacos, both appetizers, and I had enough food to feed 4 people! My husband ordered the club sandwich and he, too, could have fed 4 people with the size sandwich and amount fries he got. Cons: the temperature could not be set. It was either heat or nothing. Spend the extra money if you want a room with a view or you’ll be disappointed looking out your window. We would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Everything went really well. They overbooked their 2bed Queen, 2bathroom and got us a full 2bed 2 bathroom with a lake view "

"This is a beautiful hotel with a luxurious lobby on the second floor. The staff was very welcoming and the valet helpful when we forgot something in our car. The hotel is very conveniently located to shopping on State St and Luke's Liobster City Market. (A casual, unassuming restaurant servung the most amazing lobster rolls, crab rolls, lobster busque and clam chowder.) When we checked out, we were reminded that we hadn't used our $20 food and beverage credit. We were allowed to take $20 worth of snacks for the road. "

"Easy to walk anywhere and everywhere. Bottled water always available. Staff was very helpful with one exception. A young man with bleached blond hair at the front desk seemed a bit bored and dismissive when asked a question. That’s okay. The young women at the desk made up for him."
