"Eilert Smith Hotel exceeded our expectations!!! This is a Luxury Boutique Hotel. They treat you like royalty right when you walk in the door. I would definitely stay there again in Stavanger. It was the best of all places we stayed in Norway. It didn’t have the most amenities or even the best views but it made up for it in service and quality of the room and everything in the room. "The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the transport services. We got the 42 from the airport to Sandnes bus station and the hotel is visible from there. The train to Stavanger is also in the bus area too so this made going out for the day really easy to navigate. We were on the top floor with some good landscape views. Breakfast was nice enough and plenty of bits to choose from "

"We enjoyed our stay, and the very central location, with several restaurants, a new Irish pub, and the Christmas market metres away. Staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The "julefrokost"was plentiful with a wide array of traditional Norwegian Christmas dishes. Our only complaint is that the food was on the cold side for our tastes, even when we showed up at opening time. We used the exercise room, and also enjoyed the second-floor lounge. "

"We stayed at the Maritim Hotel for one night and I'm thankful it was only one night. A terrible night's sleep. Booming bass until 1130 at night. The room had no A/C so it was very hot, opened the door to let air in only to get cigarette fumes and people shouting. Finally fell asleep only to be woken by more shouting outside. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. "

"It was easy and simple. The room however did get quite warm but opening the window was not an option as we were on the 1st floor next to the road so sounds echo-ed quite a bit. Not a lot of plugs next to the bed/nightstands. Overall, it's fine - just not quite used to a self-service stay - which was pretty much common everywhere in Norway? It was nice that they had a self-service luggage storage - seemed safe as it was in Norway. "

"Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sofort abgebrochen und mussten uns ein Hotel suchen. Die Bilder der Ferienwohnung sind stark geschönt und entsprechen in keiner Weise der Realität. Es stinkt überall, die Möbel sind durchgesessen, die Kissen sind gelb verfärbt und die Bettdecken sind fleckig. Von außen blättert die Farbe großflächig ab. Die Umgebung erinnert eher an einen Industriehafen als an ein Urlaubsparadies. Direkt hinter dem Haus verläuft die Autobahn, die dann seitlich über eine große Brücke...
