Lodge itself lovely, hot water, small but effective kitchen, comfy beds, wood burner, BBQ. Fantastic decking to sit and watch the sun go down. Host always available to explain/help with how things work in the lodge (eg charging lamps and phones)."

"Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. There was no TV, no WiFi connection facilitated, no freezer compartment in the fridge, not even a teapot or breadbin. To compound our...

"Terrific wooden / canvas structure, wood fires and solar energy. For me a wonderful combination of Scandi comfort and warmth, and being close to nature. The location is beautiful - near the top of a hill overlooking the Tene valley - green hills and forests. The wonderful hot tub takes a while to heat up but definitely worth the wait. Iain is a very considerate host - went out of his way to be super-helpful."
