"My husband and I spent a weekend in Sausalito and San Francisco, and The Gables Inn was the perfect place to stay on our trip. We stayed in the Cedar Room, which was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Walking outside, you see the wonderful view of San Francisco across the Bay right away. The staff was very friendly, helped us with parking and recommendations for restaurants. The parking can get tricky, but the staff went out of their way to ask another guest to move their car a bit so we could fit into the last spot. The Inn is charming as a base for a trip. It doesn't offer food, but there are many restaurants within a short walking distance. Sausalito as a whole is beautiful, with great food, fun to explore, and very close to San Francisco if you want to do day trips (can be reached by car or ferry). Overall a very enjoyable stay, we'd come again!"

"The Acqua is a treasure hidden (in plain sight) next to the 101 Freeway just before the Golden Gate Bridge. This picture doesn't do it justice - it's built along the water the mirrors the lights along the along the roads and hilltops of the surrounding Mill Valley at night. It is attractively landscaped with a comfortably sized outdoor seating area for relaxation and offers an oath along the water for strolling or walking your dog. Our dog appreciated that ;-) It is elegant, understated, and restful - a quiet and peaceful haven close to the city; I've always treasured it. Pluses include free parking and a free delicious American breakfast with everything from bacon, several kinds of eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, waffles and all trimmings, signature vegetable frittata. They have always maintained the highest standards of cleanliness and use remarkable cleaning products that are not only healthy, but good for the planet. The staff is friendly and competent - eager to help you whatever you need, whenever you need it. When my daughter and I had difficulty with resetting the unusually complex ventilation system, the person at the front desk came to our rooms to set them for us and then teach us how to do it ourselves. It was 11:00 PM! The staff is happy! It seems as though they are seriously valued and treated with respect.The atmosphere is one of gracious welcome that gives a feeling that each guest is truly appreciated. I can't recommend this too highly! "

"Property and staff were wonderful, except our room was warm. They tried to cool it. Anything else we requested like ice in our room, super fast."

"The house is super clean and located in a quiet neighborhood with little car traffic. The house was well stocked and soft toilet paper and comfy beds. Highly recommend. "
