"Me and my family stayed at this resort for three days and the overall experiencing was good. Staff is very friendly every-time you ask any questions they are more than happy to answer. If you have kids this resort is for you, they have a children’s pool, children’s club and activities throughout the week. The food in general if your not a picky eater it’s good, they have the main buffet and three other restaurantes you can reserve for lunch/dinner. "

"Very nice hotel with access to a wonderful beach. Because it was winter, we were not able to do watersports because of the sea condition but it was still fun and kids enjoyed the park and the waterslides. Excellent destination for family."

"A nice and vibrant environment, Lovely staff and fantastic customer service. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. "Overall, the hotel was decent, though a bit outdated, and there was no elevator. On our first day, we ran out of hot water, which was particularly inconvenient. We informed the reception, and they resolved it fairly quickly. However, one issue I found disappointing was the lack of transparency in their menu. For instance, I do not eat pork, and during dinner at their gourmet restaurant, I ordered the beef menu with a gratin. Unfortunately, the gratin contained pork, which was not mentioned....

"So disappointed: 1. Not enough su beda and people reserving them for HOURS and never actually using them. Change your hotel policy so sun beda cant be reserved. Simple. 2. Food was awful. Edible but just such poor quality. Clesrly clrners have been cut to keep costs down. Such a shame. 3. "When we arrive at 2 o'clock in the morning we discovered that we had no room there,even if we had booked in April and we had to go to another Melia resort in the nearby. we were very disappointed also for the standard of the premises that it is not at all a 5-star hotel, as you can see from the picture. "Fint hotell om man, som vi, inte är så fortjusta i de där stora hotellkomplexen. Hotellet har 37 rum och ligger ungefär 15 min promenad från centrala Santa Maria. Vill man ta taxi kostar det 5 euro. Helt ok frukost och maten i hotellets restaurang var alltid god och vällagad. Ibland fick man vänta ganska länge på sin beställning och det blev vid några tillfällen lite fel och missförtånd. "I stayed here for one night before catching a flight to another island. At €100 per night – the most expensive rate I’ve paid on Cape Verde – it was a huge disappointment. As a Gold Member on Expedia, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine, which was missing. Instead, my room came with a cockroach (photo attached). Maybe it drank the wine for me. The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower drain was clogged, and mosquitoes thrived in the stagnant water. Housekeeping seemed questionable too...

"Wonderful comfy beds . Nice breakfasts. Helpful staff. Clean. Piri piri restaurant on site was a disaster. Husband ordered a pizza finally got it .mine didnt turn up. Waiter said sorry coming in few minutes , half an hour later turned up with a plate of seafood rice. We were only one of 4 people. Just a bad night , he said he was sorry and no charge. Think someone was spaced out!"

"A bit of a hidden gem. Had a great stay here. Alberto was very welcoming on check in. Had a secluded feel about the place which was exactly what I was looking for. The apartment itself was very spacious and home like. Short walk from the beach where there were a few beach bars/restaurant. Towards the centre you will find a number of different supermarkets and restaurants. Recommended! "
