"Overall, the hotel was decent, though a bit outdated, and there was no elevator. On our first day, we ran out of hot water, which was particularly inconvenient. We informed the reception, and they resolved it fairly quickly. However, one issue I found disappointing was the lack of transparency in their menu. For instance, I do not eat pork, and during dinner at their gourmet restaurant, I ordered the beef menu with a gratin. Unfortunately, the gratin contained pork, which was not mentioned....

"So disappointed: 1. Not enough su beda and people reserving them for HOURS and never actually using them. Change your hotel policy so sun beda cant be reserved. Simple. 2. Food was awful. Edible but just such poor quality. Clesrly clrners have been cut to keep costs down. Such a shame. 3. No smoke alarms in rooms and all the fkre extinquishers we saw were completely rushed anf useless. Not great at all! 4. Music by the pool. Dear GOD no one needs to hear Desposito 3 tomes in a row at a thousand...

Personnel souriant et tres attentionné Petit point negatif concernant le buffet qui est un peu insipide, il y a du poisson grillé tous les jours mais malheureusement toujours trop cuit donc très sec"

"Fint hotell om man, som vi, inte är så fortjusta i de där stora hotellkomplexen. Hotellet har 37 rum och ligger ungefär 15 min promenad från centrala Santa Maria. Vill man ta taxi kostar det 5 euro. Helt ok frukost och maten i hotellets restaurang var alltid god och vällagad. Ibland fick man vänta ganska länge på sin beställning och det blev vid några tillfällen lite fel och missförtånd. När vi anlände till hotellet fick vi besked om att det var överbokat och rummet vi bokat och betalt för fanns...

"I stayed here for one night before catching a flight to another island. At €100 per night – the most expensive rate I’ve paid on Cape Verde – it was a huge disappointment. As a Gold Member on Expedia, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine, which was missing. Instead, my room came with a cockroach (photo attached). Maybe it drank the wine for me. The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower drain was clogged, and mosquitoes thrived in the stagnant water. Housekeeping seemed questionable too...

"No words can describe how wonderful our experience was at this hotel after Murdeira Village resort cancelled our booking on arrival, Robinson Resort were so incredibly kind and helpful and treated us like royalty after a stressful experience we had and they went out of their way to accommodate to the situation we were in during the fully booked Christmas period and made our Christmas so memorable. "Great hotel for the price. Marble staircases and landings with good breakfast. Five mins to the beach and the restaurant strip. For good restaurant (shabby outside) out of hotel go right and first left. Then it’s on the left. Lots of other restaurants in area. Never had bad meal. Hotel will collect from airport (20 min ride) for 20 euro. Recommended."

"Wonderful comfy beds . Nice breakfasts. Helpful staff. Clean. Piri piri restaurant on site was a disaster. Husband ordered a pizza finally got it .mine didnt turn up. Waiter said sorry coming in few minutes , half an hour later turned up with a plate of seafood rice. We were only one of 4 people. Just a bad night , he said he was sorry and no charge. Think someone was spaced out!"
