"All staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. We booked a room for 3 adults which was clean, really large and spacious with partial views of the lake. Shower was great, really powerful.Variety of teas, coffees and biscuits to choose from in the room. Breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety to choose from from continental and cooked breakfast. Hotel grounds are beautiful, well kept and cared for. "

"Really nice comfortable room, only stayed one night as was for work but wish i could have stayed longer. Evening meal was exceptional, beautifully presented and really well cooked. Couldnt stay for breakfast as had to leave early, but will return and definitely try the breakfast next time. A bonus that it had free on site parking. "Brilliant loved it apart from no hot water for are 2 night stay witch took till check out to be sorted out even though we informed of the problem first night. And the maintenance man lied and told manager it was all working and checked. He never checked it and it was not working. However the lovley manager gave us a free night and we paid to stay another night also and she did us a good deal on that . We will be back soon can’t wait "

The Pumping Station. The main feature in this OS gridsquare, besides the nicely-named Dark Lane (which adjoins nondescript farmland), is a pumping station. Geographing has made me very nosey. I just had to walk down the hill to find it's owned by Transco and "transports non-odourised natural gas". Wahay!

"Perfect for Manchester Oxford Street train station not even a five minute walk. One of a few historic buildings within the Manchester City area full of character, charm and original architecture. As you walk into th reception hall you are greeted with the delightful ambiance and grace of the building, and the enchantment of the delightful florist on your right as you walk in, followed the aroma of Jo Malone room fragrance which gives you a relaxing vibe and feel to your stay. Staff members were very friendly charming and very polite and attentive, all your needs are covered. Our stay in our room was very pleasant and we upgraded to a two double beds in the room. If you are looking for charm and comfort this hotel offers just that. Highly recommended.. it’s a five star.. "

"My first time staying at one of these German Hotel interlopers and it far exceeded my expections. Far superior to their rivals such as Ibis and Holiday Inn Express. It was spolessly clean and the staff were a revelation, with customer service actually being carried out. Although all staff were fantastic special mention must be given to Tianna, nothing was too much trouble for her and she carried out any issues I had, which including a partial refund when I had to leave unexpectedly early, calmly and without any fuss. Thank you so much Tianna. I am due to return to Machester in June and I will try and book Motel One, although its popularity is steadily increasing."

"We stayed for just one night before a flight out. Standard room, 2 people. Loved: had all the features of an American-style hotel. Large bed, A/C, big room, large shower with amenities. Elevator, key cards, dining and bar. Couldn't ask for anything else really. Dining seemed really popular, though we didn't eat there. No need for a shuttle to the airport--very short walk to the terminals and even a shorter walk to the train station. Issues: you do have to train or Taxi to get anywhere other than right there--there's truly nothing around. But you have the dining there, so you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't desire to do so. Manchester as a city was a huge bust, especially considering the cost to get to the city (especially compared to the cost of the Tube in London, this seemed so pricy). "
