"The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff."

"Great food and drinks in the restaurant. Breakfast served from 7.30am Mon - Sat and 8am on Sunday. Recently renovated, friendly staff, evening meal was great, try the steak pie!"

"Very traditional 500 year old Tudor house. It’s beautiful. Has its quirks - sloping squeaky floors, uneven walls, nooks & crannies & so much history! The landlady is a fabulous baker, serving up all homemade mince pies, millionaires shortbread & a homemade bread as part of breakfast! She even makes her own jams & chutneys - I bought 2 to bring home. It’s like staying in a home from home. It’s warm, welcoming, cosy & so homely. "Stayed for two nights DDB all the staff were friendly and helpful. The Room was clean and comfortable. Nice size shower, could have done with a shower mat in the shower. The room was a nice size and was neve cold always a nice temperature. Nice touch with the fresh milk kept in a little fridge on the landing for your teas and coffee. Will definitely stay again "
