"This location is a bit up the mountain (I'm sure it is fantastic for skiing but we visited in August). As such, it is away from the nutty tourist centre and the views are fantastic. The local bus service is super efficient and a brilliant way to get to the top if you do not want to hike the slope up. The flat itself is spacious and bright. It was amenable to self-catering, and had excellent laundry facilities."

"Fantastic location, great views of the Eiger. Very convenient location - close to Grindwald Grund railway station, and the main terminal for two gondola rides. The home itself was very nice, 3 bedrooms and lots of room for everyone. Nicely appointed kitchen and a sauna in the basement area.Lovely yard and back patio area offers a relaxed outdoor seating area. Loved our stay and would highly recommend."

"Communication with the property manager was very timely and the check in instructions were easy to follow and allowed easy entry when we arrived late in the evening. The managers made a point to meet with us in person the next day to answer any questions. The location is PERFECT, right by the trains and gondolas. The home was clean and well furnished with everything we needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in Grindelwald!!!"

"We spent 10 wonderful days staying at Chalet Barbara. The chalet is very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. The stunning views are worth the walk up the steep hill and the hosts who live upstairs were friendly and helpful taking us to and from the station at the beginning and end of our stay so we didn’t have to struggle with luggage. "Really enjoyed the actual property. The beds are comfortable and the property is well maintained. Our only quibble is that the provisioning by GRIWA Rents, the villa managers is pretty meager. No salt or pepper. No starter Nespresso pods or sugar packets for coffee. One towel per person. No extra pillows or blankets in the unit, etc. And, with a $600 CHF cleaning fee, you do not expect to have to take the trash down to the train station yourself. For a $200 fee, sure. $600 no. Bus station is down the road but bus service stops at 7 pm It’s on a steep hill, no problem for us but should be considered. Didn’t feel kitchen was well-stocked: no frying pan, no salt/pepper. Make sure to stock up on basics like coffee pods and oil for cooking."
