"It is an old but cute house. Host was very generous, allowed to us to use anything in their house we needed, Including anything from their pantry, their kayak, bicycle etc.Beach was on walking distance but for viewing only."

"The property is exactly as shown in photos not a lot of room outside for the dog but it has a small fenced area so ok for little dogs. Very close to other houses but is quiet will need the car to get supplies. Surprised only one tv but loads of games for kids. Nice beds but a little hard. For the price it’s very expensive as just stayed at Waiheke and got a heated swimming pool and spa included for almost the same price Matakana is expensive and no beach views or country outlook. "This place is great! But Bookabatch has absolutely terrible customer service! Book this property directly with Bachcare, they are still based in NZ and don't have customer service call centres based overseas. We tried to change our booking and it was virtually impossible as their app doesn't work! They don't reply to their emails and their call centre said they would call back, they never did. Luckily I was able to go through Bachcare and they sorted it eventually. "

"This house was very well equipped with all the necessary items for our holiday. Parts of the house were run down (windows hard to shut), but the location was excellent, a quick walk to the beach and shops. Thank you to the hosts."

"The house is spacious, the carpet is lovely and soft, very well equipped kitchen, enough comfy seats for us and nice big garage with a few fun extras thrown in such as bikes and boogie boards. Could have done with two more fans so every room has one on these humid summer nights. Would be helpful to specify the cot is a portacot, not a full, solid cot. Also we could have done with a harness on the highchair. It was great to have shade on the outside dining table but needed shade for the outside...
