"Friendly service, property a little dated but well kept"

"Met all of our requirements for a short overnight stay: safe, clean, comfortable and quiet. The property is an older style but has obviously received some very effective refurbishment. We didn't have time for the free breakfast but I checked it out but with eggs, sausage and bacon and it is a cut above the average toast, cereal and muffin. We (couple, no pets) would stay here again. "

"We were delighted to find that the restaurant opened on the days of our arrival so we booked dinner and were treated to a first class meal and wonderful ambiance. The unit was really clean and comfortable. A great choice before heading home! Jordana & Lois"

"The couple who own the place are super nice and gave us many hints of what to see and do around the Cape Breton Highlands park. The room was very clean and the view of the water was gorgeous. Plenty of chairs positioned around so that you can sit back and relax and watch the rides rise and fall. The internet router was down so we had a sketchy connection in our room which was at the very end, but near the office the signal was pretty strong. Keep in mind there is no air conditioning but there are windows on both sides to get cross ventilation during the cool nights in the summer. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. The bed was really comfortable. The restaurant was slow, but that was because it was packed. The waitress was sweet, and the food was delicious."
