"The only thing i didnt know about was that you can't get in the building after 12am as the night ataff have locked up. You have to call a number for them to let you in. "

"Great property. But distant from the primary tourist destinations like the golden circle points. Restaurant food is great (though limited vegetarian options- which is expected) and staff is super friendly and happy to help plan any outings. Hot baths are a great place to relax. Great for northern lights viewing as husafell has less light pollution."

"We stayed in the bungalow which was very new and clean. It looks exactly as presented in the pictures. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was decent. The bungalows have their own outdoor hot tub and sauna area which was nice. There are about 12 bungalows total (I think), so it could get crowded in that hot tub and sauna when the hotel is busy given they weren’t very big. It seems like a good place to see northern lights, we just didn’t get lucky during our stay. Only downside from our stay was no smart tv (unless we just weren’t able to figure it out), but you can easily plug in an Amazon fire stick. Also, due to some issue, the hot tub was more like a warm tub. We recognize things happen so we won’t let it affect the review, but still disappointing. Overall would recommend"

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only. "

"Charming little place in the middle of nowhere, which I loved. Incredible quiet except for the roaring river and waterfalls the hotel overlooks. The breakfast was excellent and offered lots of options, and the dinner I had one night was delicious. A great choice!"

"Amazing home, modern and well kept, with stunning views of the mountains and a great place for viewing the aurora borealis. A beautiful deck and hot tub, and a cute guest house with half bath a bit separate from the main house. A fireplace in the living room was very cozy. There were kids games and toys for different ages. Plenty of linens and towels provided, and the host was helpful and communicative, with easy arrival, check-in and check-out. The location was great for our adventures exploring Iceland in November. Would highly recommend for a family stay; we hope to return!!"

"I had a wonderful, and far too brief, stay here! The location is off the beaten path, but the views are fantastic. Had the weather cooperated, it would be perfect for Northern Lights! Place was adorable, and had every convenience in the room (including additional charging cables and conversion plugs). Communication was perfect and the food was excellent! I ended up being the only traveller during my stay and the owner was so accommodating...she even offered for me to stay extra as needed due to a high wind warning! I also enjoyed my conversation with her during dinner. I would absolutely return to this guesthouse during another Iceland trip!"
