" The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. The service was excellent. Lumbini was filled with smoke from surrounding agricultural burns., which we were told were typical in November and December. "We were made very welcome by the family at Horizon Homestay and recommend staying here. The food was excellent, all freshly prepared. The views over Tansen were beautiful - a great place to have breakfast in the sun. We were going to eat out on our second night, but the restaurant closed early as it was a Saturday night.
