"This resort was an oasis. The facility was immaculate and the staff were attentive and professional. The pool was at a perfect temperature. Their on-site dining was delicious; we recommend trying the Nepalese specials like Mustang Aloo. We arranged a tour to Lumbrini to visit the temples and it was a 40 minute drive with a very helpful guide. "

"Lets face it. Butwal is not a tourist destination or major foreign investment site. The hotel options are limited. At Darcy's you get a clean room, professional service, safe meals and privacy. " The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. "The only good thing I can say is the wifi working somehow and we got a place to sleep for a night. "We stopped here to break up our drive from Pokhara to Lumbini. It was reasonably cool except for late afternoon -- hey, it's summer time. No A/C but a table top fan is provided.
