"The Ballymac is a lovely hotel in a quiet, rural location. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was very warm though, even when I tried to turn down the heater. The staff were very polite and attentive. However, they were absent at times at the reception. Not a huge issue except if you need to speak to someone about getting a table at the restaurant for instance. The food in the restaurant was quite exceptional and prices were fair. Back out to Sorcha, lots of chats, I admit Im a high maintenance guest but they go above and beyond to help you. Room huge and warm or cool, gr8 tv channels, fab wifi, breakfast in room is great, they forgot me 1st morn even tho card was outside door by 10pm nigjt before but within 5mins dropt me up tea and coffee, housekeeping are all kind and caring...Becks on...

"The hotel was beautiful. Very clean and a lovely atmosphere to be in. But … I booked a child and adult and we were given room 126. Our bed was directly above where the live band stood until 12.30am. The music was fab and if I’d been away with my partner or friends we’d have been in the bar loving it but I was with my daughter who had a gymnastics comp the following day. We could sing every word. Just feedback to consider who you put in that room. "

"We stayed in Cottage A as a family of 6. It is a very beautiful cottage and it was set up with a beautiful Christmas tree. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had the fire in the living room set up burning already, and the hot tun already set up ready to go. It was very clean and everything is very modern and just beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to spend much time admiring the views because it was raining a and very windy/ cold. Without the kids we could have done more exploring...

"We had a problem accessing the security key numbers - x2 - necessary to get into the property. Hotels.com app failed and both tel calls and emails to the owner failed for over 2 hours. Finally got access. Will probably mean that I won’t stay in accommodation that doesn’t have a front desk in future. Otherwise a comfortable stay near centre of town. Clean, quiet with plenty of room. Missing coffee pods in supplies left for guests. Thank you."

"Gorgeous place! Stayed for my boyfriends birthday and he loved it. Great attention to detail and spotless. The view is stunning. If you want to stay here - I wouldn’t suggest it if you don’t drive as it on a hill that would be difficult to get to if not. For us this was great as the experience felt private."
