"Such a nice place to stay"

"My partner and I came to visit Alnwick for her birthday, and after a previous stay at a Premier Inn, we decided we wanted something with more character. The Hog’s Head Inn is a really lovely hotel, and considering it broke ground in 2011, has a feeling of being built in the 1800s, with the wood and stone decor in the main bar area. Rooms were a really good size, and very clean. Great water pressure from the shower (which is a big plus for us!) and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would happily recommend the Hog’s Head Inn to anyone staying in Alnwick, and my partner and I are very much considering visiting other Inn Group hotels in the future. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. "

"A very comfy room and the few staff we met were great. Breakfast was excellent and Heather was a gem! A bit disappointing that the hotel is closed apart from the rooms and breakfast service. It’s not that evident when you book so maybe they should make it more obvious. Parking was free in the car park 100 yds away but only for 24hrs at a time. So we parked there through the day and then moved the car to the street outside the hotel which has free parking from 17:30 to 09:00. Our only concern was the fact one person left the front door open twice and with no staff at the hotel we felt a little vulnerable. We would stay again though. "

"Stayed at the White Swan several times before and I always try to book in when in the area. It's a very homely little hotel, the staff are lovely and the cooked breakfast is an excellent way to get your day started. There's a country pub as well, which is great for a few drinks in the evening. "

"Warm greeting from Alison set the tone for this delightful small hotel. A cosy room with a comfy bed, great shower and a fantastic view over the sea. It's a fair way from restaurants so you need to drive into Berwick where there are great places to choose from. We had a great Turkish meal at Mavi. Highly recommend this hotel. "

"We had a lovely 2 night stay in a beautiful room (Ford, room 2). The room was immaculately clean and very tastefully designed. The hotel throughout was clean and staff very polite and friendly. There was a lot of choice for breakfast and the food was served fresh and delicious. We ate an evening meal during our stay and were again spoiled for choice. The meal we chose was also delicious and the dessert was amazing too. "

"We stayed one night on our way to Scotland. The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Berwick upon Tweed and is located in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and check-in was simple. Our room was lovely, very big with a large en suite and a view over the gardens on the "pods". As others have commented the rooms are not totally sound proof, but we weren't bothered by the noise. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent. The food was very tasty and the staff extremely friendly. There was a large menu and it was difficult to know what to choose. We ate in the same room for breakfast. There was everything we needed with a small buffet and a good choice of hot dishes. We were in a rush so didn't have anything fancy or too large but it was everything we needed before setting off. If we were in the area we would definitely stay here again."
