"I was due to arrive on Friday 27th Jan due to my 11 yr old son collapsing at school and being diagnosed with a serious heart condition I had to cancel the trip. The hotel refused a refund and when Expedia approached them on my behalf, they did not answer their phone or e-mails. Terrible customer service."

"In der Ankündigung war von Kaffee und Obst in der Gemeinschaftsküche die Rede... Nichts von allem war vorhanden. Eine Toilette war kaputt, dadurch nur ein komplettes Bad für das gesamte Haus (ca. 20 Personen). Haus ist auf dem Berg gelegen - für Radfahrer schwierig. Alles in allem sehr einfach und anonym. "

Breakfast, which we paid for, was not served until 800 am, and we had to leave for the airport at 700 am, so received no breakfast. Not even coffee was available at 700 am, as far as we could tell. No gasthaus staff were present when we checked in at 600 pm or when we left at 700 am, and the restaurant was not operating. "

"A poor choice by us. No sense of comfort after a long drive along the Alpenstrasse. Old mis-matched and shabby furniture. I’ve stayed in worst places but don’t remember when. "We really enjoyed our stay. Morning breakfast buffet was terrific. Plentiful and interesting. Nice beer garden to have lunch. Serve a great local beer. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our very limited German. Limited # of parking spaces, but some nearby if you stay out late and none are left when you return."

"Super friendly & helpful staff at reception. Helped us find a dining venue & organised free tourist tickets for the fortress. We parked directly under the hotel with easy hotel access. Breakfast was a generous spread of the usual European options. The view of the fortress at night from the balcony of the spa area was spectacular. Room was basic, but sufficient."
