I really like this hotel. I stayed here previously and enjoyed it. My room was quite large and had a nice upholstred semi-recliend full body lounge chair. Breakfast was nice with mostly a Chinese affair, of course, but some western imtems like patatoes, fried eggs, toast and a Cappuccino machine.
The bathroom was froom with a nice waterfall shower, good hot water.
Bottleed water adn a tea kettle with tea bags are supplied. The hotel is decorated in old fashioed items like diial phones, typewriters, etc, hence he name, Nostalgia Hotel.
The location is just inside the 2nd ring road and is a bit far from sites like Tienamen Square and the Forbidden city but only a single bus ride to those sites. The metro is about 3/4 mile (1 km) away. There is a lovely park, Longtan park just a block or so away where lots of locals come to exercise. Youn see people dancing, doing calisthenics, jogging, playing ping pong, practicing martial arts - with SWORDS, NO LESS!, ETC.
Also nearby is the fantastic Temple of Heaven park.
The room had a quiet air conditioner, nice bed but NO CLOSET or draweres! You have to live out of your suitcase.
Note that the staff may not speak English, but tries hard. They can arrange for a trip to the less crowded Mutianyu section of the Great Wall instead of the horribly crowded Badaling section.,
I would stay here again.
