We stayed here in 2024 and 2025 on holiday. It is an excellent hotel with many international guests and well equipped for business due to its location. The receptionists speak English well. Gym is small but has sufficient equipment. Extensive variety of food for breakfast. The most popular hotel restaurant appears to be Paulaner. Room service is prompt. The cakes at the deli are delicious. We will certainly be here everytime we are in Beijing.

Great hotel - slightly crowded
I love this hotel and stay here often. But this time the hotel was full of delegates from the African summit. Metal detectors. No space in breakfast area. Impossible to get taxi near hotel

Excellent choice for a business trip
Hotel well located, excellent Western-style breakast, just what you need when you are on a business trip. Across the street there are big deal of choices for restaurants.

My first stay at Kempinski, Beijing Yansha
I stayed twice, June 29 and July 7, 2024. Both times I did enjoy my stay. All in all the services were excellent and the attitude, as well as friendliness of personnel, made me feel like I knew them before. Breakfast and food at the Italian Restaurant were superb and delicate. Unfortunately, the Wienerschnitzel at German Beer Garden & Cafe was not quite fresh, but still enjoyable. Ivy at the Reception gave me the best advice and directions for Beijing. Thanks

Nice hotel generally but quality has slipped
I’ve enjoyed staying at this hotel, but it’s not as nice as it used to be. The staff are friendly but some seem not well trained. The hotel is nice, but is it worth the money? Feels like the hotel is not as well managed as it used to be. The spa upstairs is very run down and the steam sauna has been broken for months, with no indication of when it will be fixed. The bathroom in my room was not very clean, a bit moldy and gunk on the floor. The breakfast is one of the nicest of any hotel I’ve stayed at but the quality has slipped recently.

Overall a nice hotel with some nice amenities. However the bedding was not friendly to my skin, leaving me itchy and sore.

The bedroom linen was cleaned, fresh and no odour smell. Staffs was very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet too, we had good sleep after a long tired day.

The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station and next to a shopping mall. It is by a beautiful riverfront and is at an area close to many embassies. The hotel is clean and newly renovated. The room is spacious and stylishly decorated and bright, with a great view of the river.

They gonna ask you go upgrade for 200 RMB, although it’s totally okay if you don’t, but the original room is not in very well maintained, not sure their purpose of not renovating all the rooms. Not recommend to anyone, plenty of hotels to choose if you add the additional 200.

The experience was poor because of the two reasons. 1. The swimming pool was not available when I stayed there due to renovation. The hotel never mentioned that they stop using swimming pool when I booked the hotel. I hope the hotel could let me know in advance as swimming pool is one of essentials for me to select a hotel. 2. The hot water in shower system was not stable. The hot and cool water was not supplied properly. Therefore, the water could be unpredictably hot or cool and it was hard to control. I hope the hotel could provide full refund for this stay as a five star hotel should have provided a better facilities.
