"Good Hotel"
The hotel was pretty decent and in a friendly neighborhood. There is a bus station a few meters away and a subway station about 5 minutes from there. If you're used to the subways system, maneuvering Beijing won't be a problem. I easily located the Forbidden city. The rooms are quite clean and the bed I can't complain about.
The breakfast buffet was better than I expected, being in China anyway! There's a variety to choose from and you can have your fill. The staff at the reception and the cafeteria were very friendly, although they couldn't speak any English. Luckily for me, the travel agent there could! I also met some other foreigners there and we had a chat over breakfast.
On the downside however, the hotel is kind of a bit far from central Beijing and it takes time to get there. So if you're looking to be close to downtown Beijing, you may not want to stay here. Also, there was no cable tv and wi-fi like it says there is, but there is internet in the rooms anyway.
All in all, it was a good place to stay. I would probably stay there again when I visit Beijing some other time.
