"I cannot overstate how wonderful Zimbali was. It’s a family-run eco retreat on an organic farm in the hills not far from Negril. Picture little cabins with balconies looking out at the jungle, open-air common space held up by trees, beautiful birds and plants everywhere, and a relaxed vibe—but with an excellent quality restaurant and beautiful pool. A highlight was the “Rasta tour” hike up Canaan Mountain, and the drummers before dinner (which was always excellent). They also do a “cooking show” multi course dinner with food from their farm that looked delicious. The road up to the hotel is terrible so either take a taxi or make sure you go during the day and have a spare tire. I would not plan to go in and out every day, it’s far from things, which is part of the appeal for us but could be an issue for some. We weren’t bothered, but there are bugs including mosquitoes, as well as lizards and dogs, so if that stresses you out it might not be a fit. We went out to YS falls and the crocodile safari one day (highly recommend), but otherwise mostly relaxed and hiked in the immediate area. It was one of the most perfect hotels we have ever stayed at—if you’re looking for rustic, rural, eco-conscious travel with a relaxed/quiet vibe, this is the spot!"

"The highlight for me was the direct access to the beach, which made it so convenient to enjoy the ocean anytime. The seafood was outstanding fresh, flavourful, and expertly prepared. "Stop looking! You found your perfect Jamaican stay right here. Carla was great, very communicative, and never hesitated to help however she could. But the true gem here… Mark. He hands down made our vacation. You will not find a better cooked meal on the island. He was so kind and generous and helpful. Seriously invaluable. Wonderful layout for a group of nine with a mix of two families including littles and grandparents. We would book here again without hesitation. Also, you won’t see a better view of the sunset. "Very quiet and comfortable. Grounds were maintained and the beach is right outside the back gate of the property. The only issue was internet access. Maybe it was due to the recent hurricane, so I want consider that a negative. We had our global hotspot, so we managed. "

"This property is a hidden jewel. Very quiet and very peaceful. Not in the heart of the town, with all the hustle and bustle. But close enough to the historical town of Black River, the capital of St. Elizabeth parish. Also a little historical fact, it was the first town to receive electricity. The property is near to famous attractions such as Black River Safari, YS falls, Jamaica Zoo, and Holland Bamboo. Love this property!"

"We just spent 5 days at bel cove and it was such a great experience!! The groundskeeper gary is the best hes so helpful but not intrusive!! He was there for anything we needed!! The only thing( you cant control mother nature) is the water is verryyyyy shallow at the beach so while its still beautiful its not really swimable and the pool is really warm. The ac works amazing in the rooms for a break from the jamaican heat!!"

Sean and Geneva were quite hospitable and gave us everything we needed. Firefly was sooo relaxing.
