"We had such a nice time. The farmhouse is large, well equipped and updated, with a few old fashioned touches to preserve its character. It's very peaceful with no close neighbors.The view is almost as good as being on the parkway. The parkway in this area is spectacular. Our favorite was seeing the "Star" in Roanoke.Our thanks to the Laynes. I hope we were good guests."

"We had a great stay at the farmhouse at Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, VA! My husband & I needed rest and relaxation and the stay at Elmo's Rest farmhouse did not disappoint!! "This home fit our family needs perfectly! The setting was beautiful even in winter season. We made all of our own meals and the kitchen was so well stocked and equipped with what we needed. "We loved the grain bin! It was very cozy and had everything we would need for the weekend. We enjoyed walking around the farm and looking at the cows (we made sure to close and chain the gates!) Jimmy was very responsive to our questions. It was a wonderful weekend!"

"My husband stayed here for a weekend getaway and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay! Polly was so helpful with our late check in and getting us all off the information we needed for a peaceful stay. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the back patio looking at the lake sipping our morning coffee and resting and relaxing in the condo.
