"Looks great from outside, and very welcoming from the start. The rooms are clean and spacious with great quirky decor and a very comfortable bed. We used the bar and restaurant during our stay and found the food very good and the service excellent. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. We would definitely stay again."

"Central location. Excellent character and standards inside the room. Access was up two flights of stairs. Despite having space, the room lacked an armchair for watching television, etc., and there was nowhere to put a suitcase except on the bed or floor. I did not use the breakfast arrangement, which was at 'The Olive Branch' a large pub about 200 yards away. Easy parking."

I did have to wait outside a little, as the instructions on how to enter aren’t quite that easy to understand, but only a couple of minutes and I was greeted. "Arrived late Friday night to a warm welcome and warm clean rooms. Great sized family room with a double bed, tele and books in the 1st, with twin beds in a room that led from it. Hubby even managed to get a drink once we'd unloaded the car. Tasty breakfast with choice of cereals, yoghurts and full English which could be adapted down to a bacon sandwich or something else if preferred.
