"Stayed for three nights during some work I had to do in Carlisle. It is an excellent location, 5 minutes from the centre. I judge 3 things at a B&B: Bed - Very comfy, clean and with a nice warm duvet. Breakfast - Very tasty, substantial, with good quality ingredients. Loved it. Shower - Many B&Bs struggle to maintain a good water pressure in the shower. Not the case here, excellent pressure. Overall this is an excellent B&B and I will be returning next time my work takes me to Carlisle."

"Grateful to the Greystoke for stepping in at the last minute after a previous booking elsewhere was cancelled. A quiet location but close enough for walking into the town. No problems booking in or during the 3 days stay. Beware of the big breakfasts - you may not want to move afterwards - but they set you up nicely for the day of exploring the area. "We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. "It was clean and well presented, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, fairly spacious with a most excellent shower. We missed breakfast the first morning due to taking part in an event, but found they had left us some bananas and apples for us. We had the full breakfast the next day which was spot on. And they have their own parking spots for 4 cars! Definitely will use again , as we had a lovely stay. "

"We had a great stay at the lodge. It was clean and comfortable with everything you needed for an easy stay. The location is remote but there are so many lovely places around to visit and some great walks and amazing scenery. We only stayed for 3nights but would have happily stayed longer and hope to return. Communication with Julie was easy, who responded quickly to a few enquiries I had. Would definitely recommend!"
