After we checked in and went to our rooms, we turned up the thermostat to get some heat. About a 30 minutes later still no heat.
We went to the office and they said the heat is off. We asked can you turn the heat on? They said NO, people have windows open and it will waste heat. They gave us 2 portable heaters and said here ya go.
Later we went to the office for ice and the lady said you just asked for heat, now you want ice? I said heat for us, ice for drinks.
Later on, they did turn on the building heat. But by morning it had again been turned off.
It's the only game in town but gosh it was not fun dealing with the management.
No wifi- when I asked about it they made it seem like it was normal to not be able to access it in the room rather than being upfront about it. When I went to check out I was accused of writing a poor review and spoken to Ridley, which I did not, yet the review was correct- you pay almost $190 and cannot get wifi, no coffee in room, could use some new towels etc.
The place is really dirty. The restaurant had really bad food. The bar was closed. The owners at the front desk were super rude and they overcharged me the water in the bathroom run super slow. It took me forever to take a shower and the owner is dead if you don’t like it, you don’t have to shower. What the hell

Filthy. Horrible smell in both rooms. Urine stained mattress. Broken window. No screen. Zero water pressure. Seriously, sleep in your car if you have to. Do not stay here. I feel badly for the one younger staff member guy who was nice, but the owner scolded him about the dirty mattress even though it’s her business and her problem. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. We usually don’t write reviews, but we had to warn you.
The Hotel was comfortable with a restaurant attached and Gas so made it very convenient for a stop. Some improvements could be option in room of extra pillows and blankets as well as coffee, everyone likes coffee or tea being complementary 😀 While the restaurant was close some healthy options would be nice such as salads or fruit options even coleslaw .
this is a truck stop hotel. 180 can. $ and you get a room that is clean and up to date for this kind of hotel BUT no internet, no in room coffee, no air cond. but a fan and a comfy bed. one other hotel in town and two dive restaurants. gas is 2.49 a liter. cross the border north a few miles and get it in alaska for 3.59 a gal. just saying.
