"Really nice room in a lovely coaching inn. Quality bedding , towels etc. comfy bed. Booked & prepaid thru Hotels.com and when we arrived we were a little taken aback to be charged an extra £20 for our little dog. It would have been nice to have known about this extra fee beforehand as it came as a bit of a shock , I didn’t get any reply from accommodation following my messaging them & also leaving a telephone message to say we’re bringing our dog. Other than that , a good stay. "

"Lovely building and decor with lovely wood burner but underwhelmed by the service. Dont stay overnight if you want a continental style breakfast- only full English available with disgusting instant coffee. Shame as we looked forward to staying there as we pass it regularly and it looks so inviting. Hopefully better in season rather than in February. "

"From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. "

"This was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. "1st thing this isnt in Ilfracombe its combe martin which had hardly anything in it, so very misleading on hotels.com, ok, it was just a nights stop to break the trip up, wish we had knew it was a carvery as even though we was stopping there they was fully booked and couldnt fit us in, which i thought was bad service because surely they could of called us to offer us this knowing we was staying there the night, instead we had to go looking for food elsewhere and in combe martin there isnt much...
