"This home was such a blessing to us! While visiting Battle Lake for our grandmothers funeral, this home was our family retreat and certainly provided what we needed. We had a great time around the fire pit, we enjoyed the lake, played games in the large backyard and watched a magnificent storm over the lake from the enclosed porch. The 4 bedrooms provided adequate places for rest, the kitchen had everything we needed to host family meals and we even had a visit from the neighborhood dog, Chief!...

"We had a great four day stay at Oaken House! Highly recommend. Very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had all we needed to cook meals for 8. Comfortable beds. The home is in a beautiful setting in the woods where we saw deer wander through the yard. Jack was very flexible to accommodate a late check out. "

"Wonderful lake home with lots of space inside and out! Great location easy to find. The stairs in the back were steep, and a lot of steps. The views were beautiful. There was no outdoor table which was a bummer (glass was missing). The window a/c tripped the power during use. The lake was breathtakingly beautiful. We picked ticks off of us every day from the backyard. Overall, great space; neat town; would definitely recommend!"
