"Nice place to stay. Comfortable clean rooms. I thought for this price they may make the beds. I also asked for a special request that the said they could do, but they didnt end up doing it... It was flowers on the bed for my girlfriends birthday. Then we asked if we could have one more breakfast as we were still hungry as compensation for not having power for the day and then they said no, which wasnt a big deal. Just thought they may do that. The serving staff were very nice."

"Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. "Staying at Castle Bay Guesrhouse is like visiting your family. Kanthi and Kantha are very warm and welcoming and want to make their guests comfortable , happy snd well fed..Kanthi is a great cook and her dahl is the best. Rooms are well maintained and very clean. The location is walking distance from a beautiful beach and a short tuk tuk ride to restaurants and other beaches where you can surf or snorkel. "We had a wonderful stay at Angel Rest. The owners are very kind and helpful. We cooked in their kitchen, showed them some of our cuisine and got taught making crab curry. Its just 200m to the beach and 800m to the supermarket. The rooms and bathroom are new, bed is comfortable. We added two extra days."

"Warm welcome and helpful staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only stayed one night due to our itinerary but would happily have stayed on. Didn’t eat breakfast in the property as we had an early start whale watching but they provided a small takeaway breakfast and water which was a nice touch. They also moved our packed luggage out of our room while we were out so we didn’t need to worry about managing this early in the am. Close to the beach and in a quiet location off the main, busy road....
