"This hotel is easily in the top 3 that I’ve ever stayed. We had a 2 queen room on the 2nd floor, first week of April. Very professional, friendly and prompt front desk staff = amazing. The room was immaculate, as if everything was very new. Seriously, I bring disinfecting wipes to wipe everything down, and didn’t find any speck of stain or grime to clean. The room came with four bath towels, was VERY spacious with storage galore, a bench for luggage, a fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, keurig, table and chairs, a desk and chair, plenty of outlets/USB ports, a great shower curtain with easy sliding curtain rod, bathroom towel hooks with bathroom shelves, AND it was soundproof. I could hear noise from the neighboring rooms when out in the hall, but heard nothing in our room. The mattress was OK, and we were so tired each day that sleep came easy. Water heated up quickly with good pressure. Free breakfast was OK, enough to get full and go. I wish this hotel’s standard was everywhere. Only thing is that the closer south entrance is mountainous and scenic (can be scary in winter), but it’s easier (and very pretty) to drive into Yosemite Valley from Mariposa. I would stay in Oakhurst again just for Yosemite Southgate."

"We stayed for only one night but we loved it. They had movie by the indoors pool for the kids, s’ mores station at night and snacks station during the day. Kids really enjoyed it. Oh and they are very pet friendly as well."

"I loved the unique features of the place. They left many of the original features of the cattle ranch, which makes this place really unique. The receptionists were very friendly. We sat around the fire outside the building and they showed me how to cook the s'mores. Totally recommended. "

"My friends and I stayed at this beautiful cabin near Bass Lake in late March, and it was the perfect spot for our getaway. The weather was incredible — sunny every day with temperatures in the high 60s to 70s. Finding the cabin was easy, and we loved how it was secluded enough to feel peaceful and private, yet still close to Oakhurst for groceries and supplies. The views of the lake from the deck were stunning, and the stars at night were unbelievable!The cabin itself was in fantastic condition and had everything we needed. With six of us, it was cozy but spacious enough for everyone to feel comfortable. After long days of exploring, we all agreed that relaxing in the hot tub under the stars was the highlight of our trip. It was the perfect way to unwind, especially after our challenging (but amazing!) hike to Upper Yosemite Falls. The bit of snow at the top made it even more memorable.We also explored the local trails around Bass Lake and had a great time hiking Angel Falls via the Willow Creek Trail. The scenery was beautiful, and it was so convenient having such great hikes nearby.The hosts were wonderful, making sure everything was well-prepared for our stay. From the comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen, everything was thoughtfully arranged. It was such a better experience than staying in a hotel. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Yosemite adventures, and we’re already talking about planning another trip back. Highly recommend this spot to "

"We stayed over the weekend to relax!We were about an hour from Mariposa Grove so it made visiting Yosemite, even during Firefall, a breeze! Tammy was very communicative and receptive to our needs and the kitchen was way more stocked than we had anticipated. Amenities were pretty good, taking into factor what she told us to bring, and the bedrooms were very nice. We were 11 people and still managed to all feel like there was enough room to be in our own corners, enjoy our time together, bond, and have fun!Also a prime location between popular fishing spots if you do that!"
