Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

We stayed for a weekend with our entire family including our two dogs in one of the explorer cabins and we loved it. Plus the Tenaya staff had a dog bed treats toys and a dog bowl waiting for our pups when we arrived in our cabin. Thank you Tenaya can’t wait to come back.

I stayed here for three nights for a family Thanksgiving celebration. This is the most family friendly, intentional resort I have visited on the west coast, it reminded me of old school east coast summer resort weeks. They have nonstop activities each day.... ice skating, snow globe making, elf on the shelf hide and go seek, game rooms, movie nights in the pool; so over the top, but perfect. I feel blessed to have been able to share in this experience with my immediate family, extended family and pets... no complaints.

This is a very unique property that in among a woodsy setting. We stayed in the cottages. Love the fire pits, festive feel. Thought the restaurant was great, staff is also amazing. We enjoyed this immensely.

We had a wonderful time it’s about an hour out from Yosemite park entrance but the environment and the staff were so lovely. Plus we went in the snow and the whole place looked like a hallmark movie
