"We had a really enjoyable stay at Woodpecker Cottage. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and 60th anniversary, there was plenty of room for all 13 family members inside the property and we enjoyed the outside space using all the facilities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The bedrooms/bedding/towels all lovely and clean. We would recommend a stay at this property."

"We enjoyed the cottage espically thr cosy log burner , the garden is not good if you struggle with walking up very steep steps , there was a very weird smell in the bathroom , cottage very rural , but we enjoyed walks , the main bedroom bed is very squeaky bit uncomfortable , but we did enjoy our stay away "

When I asked Rachel if there was a coffee maker or French press in the home she said no and then messaged me that she’d gone out to get one for our stay. How lovely is that!? She left us a couple of treats as well. The cottage was cozy and quiet and had everything we needed for our winter retreat. "We loved our time staying at Midsummer Barn. The pictures online do not do it justice. It has character and charm. It is spacious and comfortable and well equipped for everything a family needs for time away. There were fresh eggs and cider to welcome us which was a lovely touch. The view is spectacular and the area is very quiet and peaceful. It’s easy access to motorways, but feels miles away. Yvonne was a responsive, gracious host. "We had an amazing christmas-time stay. The cottage was decorated for the season and we arrived to a warm house [thank you]. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and overall the cottage was decorated and furnished to a high standard. We loved the log burner and the owners had supplied ample kindle + logs. On visiting the local pub, we were made to feel very welcome. Perfectly positioned for some great rambling walks; the walk to the waterfalls was our favourite."

"Lovely cottage well placed for walking and sightseeing. Really comfortable cottage and we felt at home straight away. Well equipped with all you need for your stay if cooking for yourselves. Nice touch with wine and flapjack left for our arrival. Especially thoughtful with flapjack ingredients listed, as my partner is coeliac we knew if he could eat them. "
