"Hotel was a convenient pick-up location for the tour I was taking and also for exploring the port and nearby streets. The room was clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the restaurant was noisy, even for dinner."

"This property has an annex where we stayed. The rooms were cute, comfortable, and quiet. There was a living/dining/kitchen area across the hall that had a nicely stocked pantry area and a full kitchen with cooktop, oven, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. A terrible storm blew in and we were able to make a complete dinner and stayed in having a ball. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was fresh, high quality, and delicious. All the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely stay there again and recommend it to anyone going to Stornoway. It’s located very well and only about a 3 minute drive to the ferry terminal. "

"Very charming, cozy, spacious cottage with new kitchen and bathroom. Fantastic shower. The beds had electric warmers to preheat them before bedtime. The location is perfect for quickly accessing all the historic sites."

"The Cross Inn is wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the barn pub- a fun setting and excellent food. WiFi was great in bar but non existent in our room. Highly recommend it to other travelers. "

"The property is well situated for an easy walk in Stornoway with 2 supermarkets easily walked to. On street parking outside of the property was always available. A good location for exploring Lewis and Harris. It’s very clean and well equipped. Roddy was easily contacted. Would recommend. "
