"The cottage is quirky, as described but is also comfortable and attractive in an highly individual way. We spent a long (and very wet!) weekend there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "We had a lovely stay with friends and went to Newbury Races which was a couple of stops on the train which is a 5/10 minute walk from the cottage The cottage was very nice 2bedrooms the smaller on is a bit small but fine for a few nights The kitchen is well equipped in fact the only down side was the shower which was very low pressure and the temperature kept changing so you had to jump in and out otherwise it was wonderful and we would use it again if staying in the area "

"Everything was perfect from start to finish. Ayla and Mike are great hosts and were so helpful with their knowledge of the area. The cottage was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. "My wife and I and another couple loved staying at Mallard Cottage. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size and the laundry with a clothes dryer was really appreciated. The living area enjoyed floor to ceiling glass looking out on a sunny, relaxing garden which sloped down to the fast flowing river. It was a short walk in to the centre of the city. Hosts, David and Deepti, were welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend this cottage to others."
