"Beautiful property with amazing, large rooms. Great patio with chairs and a swing bed. Large bathroom with a great shower, water pressure and hot water! Property was amazing with lots of trails and animals. Only downside was the transportation option offered by the lodge itself was very limited - they should offer more boat transfers from the mainland. And install blackout curtains in the rooms - made it impossible to nap in the afternoons! "

"Mawamba Lodge is very lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the facility, walking along the beach, and strolling through the village of Tortuguero. Mawamba has a recycling station where you can pick up a bucket, walk along the beach and pick up garbage left behind by the tide. We like thinking we may have made a little difference for the turtles."

"Such a beautiful place in the middle of nature. I loved their pool and food was amazing (we got the “full board” option for all of our meals paid for and it was definitely worth it, buffet style, delicious). "Our stay at The Caribbean Paradise lodge was very pleasant, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very clean , lots of wildlife you can hear and see. It is 10 minutes away from Tortuguero village by taxi boat, but the staff is always ready to help with that. There is no AC but the fan in the room was sufficient and we had comfortable nights and slept well enjoying the sounds of nature .
