"The room was very clean with a beautiful view. The staff members varied from very helpful to not so much especially in the restaurant. I asked for fruit and was told they did not have!?! Vs providing options like, we will have tomorrow or can I slide an orange for you (which they did have). "

"Not as advertised. Phoned to arrange check in but no one spoke English. Finally got a customer to translate who advised to come at 5 to check in (half an hour later than advertised). When we arrived the bar and restaurant were closed. Only one member of staff there who could not speak English which was advertised on the site. The room was very basic with outdated decor. "We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Full of character, warm and cosy on chilly weekend in March. The staff were friendly and helpful and were made to feel very welcome especially by Massimo on our arrival which was quite late evening. The small town of Calolziocorte is very pleasant and the location of the hotel by the river is lovely. "Superb view; no air conditioning means night is humid and uncomfortable; there was a blue light from the clock under the tv panel which is distracting at night. Great food and ice cream!"
