"This is a basic spot. We had a kitchenette cabin for a family of four. No bathroom so walked yo main one. Got the job done. It had space for our kids to play, felt safe, and allowed us to explore the area. We stayed three nights. Biggest drawback: wifi was awful, inconsistent and spotty. "

"It’s funny reading the reviews on here. The place is 2.5 star type place. Basic. Depending on room you get. I stayed in room 404. Two single beds with small bathroom etc. I stayed in summer which seems to be peak season. One thing to be mindful is the whole property faces east or west, so afternoon the sun shines in window s and makes it quite hot but cools down later by 10pm so ok for sleeping. "Was pleasantly surprised! Was concerned when we first went to check in as it appeared to be the caravan park however the room we booked was hidden and further to the side with good view of the lake. Lovely clean room with modern style. Would recommend! "

"Very good accomodation. Clean and convineint. We enjoyed having a kitchen to cook with the basics provided and an opportunity to refresh our clothes via the washer dryer. Very easy to walk around the anau from here. The couple who run the motel were friendly and went out of their way to help us on a rainy day. Will come again and recommend. "

"Have stayed here before and loved it, this is a return trip. Close enough to town to walk. What I think needs improvement is the frying pan is not nonstick. Everything Wales was great."

"Had a pleasant 2 night stay here. Room is a bit dated, but pretty big. I wished the glass slider door had a screen slider. We had the door open to get some air and a cat came in the room! A screen would allow air to circulate, but keep out critters. Great location! "

"You couldn’t find a better place to stay. Beautiful lake front property with a view, spotlessly clean, very friendly property manager, extremely comfortable and quiet property. I loved the heater in the bathroom for chilly mornings and the heated towel rack. Also, I mistakenly left behind a backpack with important contents and the property manager has been extremely helpful in getting the items shipped to me. So grateful! "

"Clean and tidy unit 5 mins walk to the town centre."

"Building is a bit dated but it’s kept clean and tidy with well equipped cooking facilities. Bathroom is spacious (spa bath unit). TV, WiFi all worked well. we walked to supermarket where the restaurant area in less than 15 minutes through a park. We had a lovely stay."

Perfect for two people as a base to fish the surrounding rivers and explore Mavora Lakes. "

"Ida Cottage was perfect. Beautifully renovated house at the end of a cul de sac overlooking paddocks and sheep with views to the mountains. Walking distance to the supermarket and cafe. Duncan has thought of everything a guest might need - comfortable beds with high quality linen, masses of fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen. Fast WiFi, efficient A/C and heating. We loved it. Perfect for two people as a base to fish the surrounding rivers and explore Mavora Lakes. "
