"Loved Le Ferme Aux Chats. Only saw one cat, and one very friendly dog. The owner is lovely, and very helpful and knowledgeable about the WWII sites/mist-sees. The breakfasts were lovely and delicious with home made baked goods and marmelades. We will return one day! "

"Lovely overnight stay. Small room and en-suite but fine for one night. Good buffet breakfast had everything we needed. Good location for bars, shops and restaurants but not noisy. We didn’t have a car, but the public car park was 5 minutes away. We will stay there again."

"3 nights overlooking Omaha Beach, unfortunately the weather was not good, very windy Accommodation was adequate, a comfortable chair would have been nice, good heating and plenty of hot water Bar didn’t open until 6pm with no lunchtime service "

"Excellent hotel with a staff friendly and capable. English spoken. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and a very comfortable bed. Roomy and very good bathroom with an excellent shower. Will use it again when in area."

"A great location from which to tour most of the D-Day sites. Staying in a building that was there long before WWII, but updated with all modern conveniences was so special. Charming courtyard area and great restaurant just behind…..our stay was perfect. La Suite is a great find….would highly recommend!"

"L'établissement est vieillot, et les chambres auraient besoin d'une refection. Cependant le personnel est agréable et met tout en oeuvre pour que le séjour se dérouel sans problème. La chambre est pleine de courants d'air, provoqués par la porte d'entrée. Cependant, la literie est de qualité et la chambre est propre. On regrettera la baignoire dans la salle de bain."

"Amazing, great little hotel in the city centre of Cherbourg. Nice to have a private car park onsite, but beware the parking space are limited and the parking bay are quite small and narrow. Other then that, the bedroom and bathroom is nice size and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who coming to Cherbourg"

"Hotel rooms were comfortable, the window shutters are great. The restaurant serves a regional menu, including regional beers. The breakfast was the standard bread, pastries, cereal, fruits and cheese. The location was easy to find, and a great spot to stay if planning on visiting the town. The town is close enough to walk if you want alternative options for food."

"Comfortable rooms at a fabulous old chateau, made extra special by the charming attentive host. Nothing was too much trouble, and her advice on what to see and do was spot on. Breakfast was superb. Highly recommended for a stay in Normandy."

"Stayed for three nights, the entire property is gorgeous, the rooms are very clean and spacious, the breakfast was excellent, the owners are very nice and welcoming. Grandcamp-Maisy is a very nice town and the food and staff at Restaurant de la Marée is seriously top notch, lots to do in the surrounding area as well."

"L'annonce indiquait disponible à partir de 16h. La propriétaire nous a dit qu'elle ne pouvait pas avant 16h30. A 16h30 nous étions devant la maison mais personne ne nous attendait. Nous avons appelé la propriétaire qui nous a dit ne pouvoir venir que 20 minutes plus tard mais est finalement arrivée seulement 40 minutes plus tard. Elle nous a fait attendre en plein soleil avec un enfant petit. Ca démarrait mal. Sa première question a été ensuite, à notre grande surprise, de savoir si nous...

"Great place to stay. Madame ,with the key, made us very welcome. Best view in the whole of Barfleur, takes in the whole harbour. .Plenty of equipment and home comforts. Look forward to coming again......Full marks."
