"Brilliant service, very friendly. We extended our stay for an additional night. Ate in the restaurant on the afternoon, food was amazing! Only feedback is they could do with some powerpoints in the bar/lounge area to enable business customers to be able to work. We ended up having to work in the restaurant, which was ok for us, but wouldn't be possible when it's busy as they would need the table. Couple of the tables in the bar could do with being swopped for high level tables with power points. The design of the bathroom with the wet room spraying out isn't the best or you need a squeegee or extra bath mat. "

"I had a fabulous trip away for my birthday. This was the 3rd time coming here. The last time was 5 years ago for my 40th so thought I'd replicate it for my 45th. Both were solo trips. The pool is lovely, the massage and facial is booked were amazing and the afternoon tea was fabulous. The only downside was the dinner on my birthday. I'd stipulated it was my birthday on booking and been told they'd do something special for the dinner but other than a few sparkles on the table saying happy birthday it wasn't even acknowledged by any of the wait staff. The female staff couldn't even summon up a smile. (The male was friendlier but still not even a word about my birthday) I wasn't sure expecting much but just to be wished happy birthday would have been nice. 5 years ago I got a plate with petit fours and happy birthday written in chocolate but this time nothing. Had I not made a point of it being a birthday dinner would have been different but I had and been promised something. On the plus side the food was lovely. And the rosé wine was the best I've had in a long time. breakfasts were also good and freshly made with plenty of choice for both continental and cooked. "

"I stayed two nights while visiting family and friends. Great value and included breakfast. The breakfast was buffet styles with full english as well as toast, pastries, yogurt etc. Fruit juice and hot drinks. The hot breakfast was overall good with quality bacon, hash browns, eggs, beans and sausages. However the sausages were very cheap and had no taste, avoid them. Everything else was outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. There is a nice lounge with comfy chairs and open fire. Rooms are very clean with comfy beds, there are some signs that a bit of redecoration will be needed before long but don’t let you put you off. Nothing broken anywhere. Plenty of free monitored parking. I will be using this hotel again when I have my regular trips to the area. Much better than the usual travel inn places. Forgot to mention the restaurant and bar is open each evening as well. "

"Speedy check in, good sized and quiet room. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy location to walk to all of the local attractions and Canterbury West Train Station."

"Liked the ground floor junior suite which is dog friendly and our dig cannot do stairs. It was comfortable for all of us with plenty of room for the dog. "
