"We had to move rooms when we first checked in because the bathroom smelled like the bottom of a sewer system. There was no way we could stay in there. We moved one room over and the smell was better, but not gone. The staff all seemed stoned the whole time, and were not very helpful. The hostel is pretty loud with people constantly in the main area, which is right below the rooms. The quiet hours did start at 11pm which were adhered to, so that was great. "Best place to stay if you have a car and if you like a quiet spot. Right in the mountains with a great views of the Tungurahua volcano, very close to the "casa del arbol " which is an unbeatable spot for the view of the volcano. Rooms are more like small bungalows , very spacious with very comfortable beds. We absolutely loved our stay there. "

"The staff was great! The amenities were great! I own a maintenance company so it is an area they need to take a look at. Our Spa tub filled VERY slowly and drained even slower. The skylight about the toilet leaked during the rain in room 26. None of these issues would prevent me from going again and I would have stayed longer if I could. However, I have bad pollen allergies and something was bothering me since it is 300 years old and has no A/C I had to leave. LOVED our Stay!"

"The "Cabanas Luxury Matrimonial" were bare basic. No ventilation, no AC, no fan, windows open but don't have screens to keep bus out. No chairs to sit, 2 towels, 2 hangers, 1 bottle of water, nothing else. The price was very reasonable though. The 2 jacuzzies were not hot. One was lukewarm and the other was cold. There were plenty of spa options available. "

"Amazing staff. Main guy was AWESOME. He spoke English. Set me up with all the activities, and knew what was good and what was not. There were 2 girls that worked as volunteers for we work that were just as cool and spoke English as well. My one complaint was my room had no hot water..... I left the water on for 5 minutes. It only got colder.... I needed that shower too... The locals like to party... all night long... my gosh. Makes it harder to sleep. "
