"I rented this apartment for a mom’s night away to rest and recharge. The apartment is separate from the main house, but attached to the garage. While I was there the garage was not being used so it was private. It’s worth noting that the apartment is in close proximity to the main house, but you would never know anyone was there other than the cars outside of their home. "The place was great, but a little bit noisy from traffic on the highway nearby. The host was responsive to our requests. The only big issue was the very skinny spiral stairs leading to the bedrooms. Fine for those under age 30, but maybe not so easy for us. We're all old and over 65. We're all in very good shape, so it didn't make much difference, but it might for some."

"We stopped for groceries before we got to Leakey. The barndo is cute, just be careful on the drive out because the road is gravel and without 4 wheel drive it's a bit tricky. We almost couldn't get out in the minivan. Otherwise cute little area and beautiful views. "
