"We stayed in the Deluxe River View room, the best room in the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The only fault we could find with the room was lack of storage. The 2 pools were lovely, they were quiet during the day when people were out on day trips. Staff were great. We give a special mention to the reception staff who advised us where to go for day trips which they easily arranged for us. "Unable to e-mail, kept pinging back. Phoned but no English. Reception was unprepared for checking in, again no English. Safe not working properly. Returned to room one afternoon and found the lock on the door was broken and insecure, had to change rooms. The breakfast was very unhygienic, flies on uncovered salad, fruit etc. It was a shame because the staff worked really hard especially the young girl on the reception. Resort was ideally located for The Bridge, museum etc"

"So, after having such nice welcomes.everywhere I've ever been in Thailand, here was a bit of a shock. There is no real welcome and interaction comes across at best nonplussed, at worst rude. But if you come prepared for that and you have a room on the raft, they are lovely and are good value for the price. Once you get over the lack of interaction with anyone.... It's great! The view from the river are really lovely to wake up to."
