The Harbour House Hotel
5/5 Excellent
Sunny weekend in April
"Had a great little break here in Portpatrick, helped by sunny weather.
We were in one of the front facing rooms on the top floor. As advertised, the ceiling was low - sloped into the eaves at one side of the bed, so my wife had to duck a little when going to bed, but main part of room was over 6 feet, so fine for this 5'10" bloke.
This may seem less than ideal, but the sitting area at the front of the room, had fab panoramic views of the whole Portpatrick harbour and beyond, which more than made up for ceiling height. Besides there are also rooms on first floor, which judging from hall height must be at least 10 feet.
Dog friendly hotel, which is another plus.
Anyway... great view, food was also very good. And singer on Saturday sounded good, although I didnt go into main bar area during the set, as would have been too much for doggo 😀.
