It's exactly how it looks and described on the website - clean, comfortable, well furnished with great facilities - swimming pool and area around it, gardens, table tennis, pertanque, badminton, table football and bikes to hire. Great wifi reception as well Situated in a lovely and quiet spot, surrounded by Vineyards but not too far from shops in the local village or Bergerac itself - about 10 minutes drive away"

The house has plenty of grounds in which to roam or play and the family particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. All facilities are provided in the house and if we wanted any additional equipment, such as a barbeque, we only had to ask. Eileen and Richard were the perfect hosts and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We had a perfect, relaxing week and will definitely be returning."

"This very clean and comfortable cottage is in the country a short drive from Sainte Emilion. Quiet, pastoral setting. It was out base for drives in the area and for a relaxing time at the end of the day. We opted for the breakfast which was very reasonable and delish - yougurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. Everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay."

They were on site the whole time we were there, so we shared the pool with them and the people renting their smaller apartment (although we were never actually in the pool at the same time). We didnt realise this from the advert. The house is nice, but a little old fashioned - the kitchen and bathroom could really do with a refresh as they feel very dated. "We had a very relaxing holiday in this gite. Olivia and Alain are friendly and helpful and we spent a very pleasant evening putting the world to rights over aperitifs. It is in a peaceful area but close to all amenities, including a very well stocked shop and a boulangerie in Bouniagues, and there is plenty to see and do in the area. The gite itself was very comfortable and clean and the pool was lovely with stunning views. We really enjoyed our holiday."

Highly recommended

"Well done to Marion and her team. They have booked us Taxis, made us Pizzas, provided local information for buses, shops and restaurants, supplied extra towels and a hairdryer. The continental style breakfast is good value in price, and the facility is clean and well managed. Everyone has spoken English, been polite, friendly and professional. This may be called a Hotel Ibis “Budget”, but it has high standards and all the staff work hard. Room 307 is at end of the corridor. It is a good size with separate shower (fabulous) and toilet."

"This hotel is in a beautiful location with extensive grounds and several golf courses. The chateau is a lovely centre piece overlooking the lake. We stayed in Relais des Vigiers which is separate accommodation in the grounds. The room was large, very clean and the bathroom had a great shower. There was also an outside seating area. It was ver gomfortable. We also ate in the Bistro and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend staying here."
