"Location was excellant. Surroundings were beautiful. Home was just as it was stated on listing. Please note lots of stairs, would be difficult for elderly person. Loved the multi-level outdoor patios. Great for relaxing breakfast or night cap. Furniture was simple. Glad there was plenty of space to relax outside as well."

"We had a fantastic time at this excellent property. The property has a large outdoor pool, and is massive inside, with lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas. The teenagers in our group particularly liked having the downstairs area to themselves. The property was c15 minutes from Vilamoura marina and approx 20 mins from the beach. "The Roots Hotel was very convenient and comfortable, with a great location. We needed a parking spot, which they provided in an underground garage for a cost of 7 euros per day. We also needed to be near the train station, which was a very short walk from the hotel. And we wanted to be near Faro Airport, which was a short taxi ride away. In addition, there were tons of restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel. So the location was ideal for our stay and the front desk was very friendly. They offered complimentary coffee/cappuccino, etc in a room off the lobby. The room itself had a good separate bathroom with a large shower, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, stove, microwave and dishes/dishwasher. We had no complaints about the room at all. Out of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our visit to Portugal, The Roots would be rated in the top two. I would definitely stay there again!"

Special stay in a lovely location

"Great location and views from roof terrace and the room. Breakfast buffet was fresh, lots of choice. Staff were amazing and noticed that one of our party had a Birthday the day of our check in and arranged a lovely surprise of a bottle of Sparkling to be brought to the room. This made an already lovely stay even more special."
