"I came as a solo traveler. The stay was quite, safe, comfortable, and clean. I arrived and did not realize the proximity to nearby resturants, for someone without a car. The owners were very kind they made me a salad and sandwich for dinner that evening. There was a continental breakfast included. They even arranged trabsportation the next morning for me. "Myself and my wife loved staying here it was a beautiful guest house very traditional. We were visiting family so found tbe guest house to be very convenient . If i had to moan about anything it would be the thin walls between the rooms we could here the couple in the next room very clearly which was a little annoying at times but usually only when we wanted to sleep. And again its a very small moan becuase they may of been loud people. The breakfast was great and Siri the cat kept us company...

"Loved the pool, very nice hosts, great breakfast, room was nice, however the description of amenities is not accurate - there was not air conditioning in the room, or is there a restaurant or pool side bar, which left us stuck for lunch when enjoying the pool. We booked a rook with river view but did not receive it. That all being said we did enjoy the place - but just beware or what is not accurate "

"Our stay at Quinta da Ermida was overall fantastic. There were 5 of us staying in the 3-bedroom apartment, which was its own house with separate entry and private bathroom for each room. The view was gorgeous of the river and the train, and the property was beautiful to venture and take in the amazing views. "This is the ideal place to experience the Douro. The house was very lovely with everything we needed. It’s perfect for a family visit! It was a bit chilly for the pool but it would be nice to use in the summer for sure! Our gracious host was very attentive and provided everything we needed."
